I tried, but cannot reproduce.
Unfortunately I don't have the debug symbols for the libraries and kate so I
could not get too much info from the crash-dump :(
I suspect that it could be a plugin that you have loaded that triggers the
crash. Can you try to remove the configuration files for kate under
.../AppData/Local/ and see if that fixes the crash. There is a bunch of rc
files under there and then a few folders that are related...
