Installed latest version of Kubuntu 16.04 (after upgrade from 15.10 failed
half-way through and I could not log back in).

Have 64-bit Siemens Celsius PC  Epson WF-2660 printer.

Tried all the suggestions and websites here:

sudo rpm -Uvh epson-inkjet-printer-escpr-1.6.5-1lsb3.2.x86_64.rpm

sudo dpkg -i <name of the .deb package>

sudo dpkg -i epson-inkjet-printer-escpr_1.6.5-1lsb3.2_amd64.deb
sudo dpkg -i epson-inkjet-printer-escpr_1.6.5-1lsb3.2_amd64.deb

sudo dpkg -i  epson-inkjet-printer-escpr_1.6.5-1lsb3.2_amd64.deb


sudo dpkg -i  epson-inkjet-printer-escpr_1.6.5-1lsb3.2_i386.deb

sudo apt-get install lsb

to your /etc/apt/sources.list file and run 

sudo apt-get update

Use the terminal text editor program nano instead of gedit to edit
/etc/apt/sources.list. Open the terminal and type:

sudo nano /etc/apt/sources.list
