Unfortunately this landed in qt 5.15, so it didn't make it into KDE 5.18. There seems to be 2 issues causing line artifacts with scaling: 1) Underneath windows bleeding through (fixed by Lucas?) 2) Artifacts remaining after selecting text/screen scrolling.
