SUMMARY
I usually work with several FTP servers and usually I need to search in files
content (text files, PHP, HTML). As they are web servers, they have folders
with media files, and I don't want to search inside that files. However, there
are two issues folder exclusion related:
- Despite I'm on the remote parent folder where I want to search from, when I
click on the "Folder" icon to locate the folder(s) I want to exclude, Krusader
doesn't show the current folder, but the ROOT folder of my Linux system.
- After select some folders to exclude, finally Krusader ignores the rules I
put and begin to search in all subfolders, excluded explicitly or not.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Access to a FTP remote folder
2. Create a subfolder called "video" where you will place some videos with at
least 500MiB in size.
3. Create a subfolder called "audio" where you will place some audio files,
with a total of about 100MiB or more in size.
4. Click on "Search" (Ctrl + S) and type "String" (eg.) literal in "Text",
cause I want to search in files contents. Enable "Search" in subfolders.
5. Click on the folder icon on right side panel ("Do not search in ....").
6. Click on a subfolder of the remote folder tree where you don't want to
search
7. Click on the "Down arrow" icon to add the excluded folder
8. Repeat steps 4 and 5 one time more on another remote subfolder
8. Click on "Search" button
OBSERVED RESULT
Krusader will search in "Media" and "Audio" subfolders
EXPECTED RESULT
Krusader should not search in "Media" nor "Audio" subfolders
