Maybe it is not installed". Regardless if I take kompare, kdiff or meld. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Install Kate on Windows from store. 2. Open two files and try to compare them. 3. Chose one of the backends. OBSERVED RESULT Compare not possible due to missing backend EXPECTED RESULT Kate should be shipped with a one backend to be able to compare.
