            Bug ID: 417368
Summary: Title clip appears to use preview monitor resolution.
           Product: kdenlive
           Version: git-master
          Platform: Other
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: User Interface
          Assignee: j...@kdenlive.org
          Reporter: evors...@protonmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
When adding a title clip with preview monitor scaling active I noticed that the
text size much too large for the project resolution. It would appear that the
title clip is using the preview monitor resolution, as the size of the text
changes when I try different resolutions on the preview monitor.

I have not tested this on rendering yet, as adding a title clip crashes the UI
of kdenlive. I will report that separately. I can only imagine that the size of
the text would be wrong in a final render as the project is rendered at the
project resolution, and not the preview monitor resolution.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Activate preview monitor scaling
2. Add title clip to project
3. Notice that the text is much too big for the resolution

OBSERVED RESULT
Text of a few points is much too large for a 4K project, looks more like a 320p
project (which is where I set the preview monitor to)

EXPECTED RESULT
Title clips should:
1. Have their own resolution, so that they can be used between projects of
different resolutions

2. Should default to the project resolution to ensure more quality at final
render.

Arch Linux, updated last month. Kdenlive built from master branch 2020-02-10
