Thanks for taking the time to report this!
This looks like an issue with your theme. It works well with Breeze Dark. None
of the primary text or background colours are hard-coded.
In this case, it looks like those are messages you received, so they are using
Kirigami.Theme.highlightColor and Kirigami.Theme.highlightedTextColor, though
those only have a difficult relationship with the Qt theme colours. (These
might not be the most-ideal colours to use for this purpuse but I couldn't find
better ones)
