I'm seeing this behavior since long, all the versions since at least 3/4 years ago and now I'm on Plasma 5.17.90/Framework 5.66.0 and QT 5.14.1. No changes. TO recap, as long as the laptop is restarted with the same monitor configuration the panels are in the right spot. If I change monitor setup between restarts (say, switching from home to work and back, or to laptop single monitor to multiple monitors) almost everytime the lastScreen index changes and messes up panel location. I have to try all the numbers between 1 and 4 to pick the right one, everytime restarting plasmashell.
