Boudewijn Rempt <b...@valdyas.org> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Resolution|--- |DUPLICATE Status|UNCONFIRMED |RESOLVED CC| |b...@valdyas.org --- Comment #1 from Boudewijn Rempt <b...@valdyas.org> --- Hi, Yes, this is known. We warn about this every time we announce OSX packages: because Apple has decided not to support the compatibility profile of OpenGL 3.x, Qt's OpenGL integration doesn't work properly on OSX. It needs access to the functions Apple doesn't expose when asking for OpenGL 3. On the other hand, without access to OpenGL 3, the new Instant Preview feature and the high-quality canvas zooming isn't possible. Since we cannot magically improve Apple's broken OpenGL support, we need to rewrite Qt's opengl integration, and that's what is going to happen between now and Krita 3.1. For 3.0 final, we'll likely return to using just OpenGL 2.1, which means tool outlines but no instant preview/high quality zooming on OSX. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 362229 *** -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
