Also, the plasma desktop environment is not there after the crash if it wasn't
clear. I can restore it sometimes with the following command; "kbuildsycoca5 &&
kquitapp5 plasmashell && kstart5 plasmashell" as found on other peoples threads
having similar bugs. When running the command it sometimes stops with this
error:
kf5.kconfig.core: "KConfigIni: In file
/usr/share/kservices5/searchproviders/google_advanced.desktop, line 123: "
"Invalid escape sequence \"\\{\"."
"Application plasmashell could not be found using service org.kde.plasmashell
and path /MainApplication."
However, just running kstart5 plasmashell seems to restore the desktop
environment just fine.
