Bug ID: 415397 Summary: Continue youtube video where you leftoff (bidirectional) Product: kdeconnect Version: unspecified Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: wishlist Priority: NOR Component: android-application Assignee: albertv...@gmail.com Reporter: raitarohik...@protonmail.com Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY On spotify you can switch between different machines, so for example if you need to leave the computer you can just 'switch' to the phone and it will be as if you were listening on that device from the beginning. I wish this could work with youtube (& others) as well, over kdeconnect. NO MORE I say, no more scrubbing through the timeline of a youtube video you had to "Open on 'phone'" as a caveman to get to where you were and be off by a few seconds or even minutes. So what if... you could just have a little icon in the kcon notification for media playback... say a shuffle icon kinda thing next to the playback buttons that could open that video on the phone with no extra input? And the video should continue at the very second as well. Same thing should also be available in the kcon app as well and kcon tray indicator. An easy way to open whatever kcon got from plasma-browser-integration: youtube videos primarily. The process should be possible because: 1. kcon already has the information of what video is watched on youtube and it's timeline position thanks to plasma-browser-integration 2. kcon can then receive the video and have it opened on the phone The only change needed is add '&t=150' for example at the end of the url for the youtube video to open it at the time specified, so in this case 2min 30sec. The reverse though... that would require kcon to be able to see a youtube video is playing. So perhaps if kcon can read notifications it can also have the same 'switch' icon/button send the video to the desktop and have it play there. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
