Bug ID: 415131 Summary: Full screen video playback doesn't work in Chrome/Chromium without system title bar and borders in scaled display Product: kwin Version: 5.16.5 Platform: Ubuntu Packages OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: kwin-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: pter...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY Playing videos in full screen mode is impossible in Google Chrome or Chromium as soon as it is set not to use system title bar and borders. I suspect it has something to do with my scaled display. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Go to System Settings > Display and Monitor > Scale Display 2. Set scale to something above 1 (in my case 1.3). 3. In Google Chrome or Chromium, go to Settings and disable the option "Use system title bar and borders" 4. Browse to any HTML5 or FLash video, for example on YouTube. 5. Set the video to full screen mode. OBSERVED RESULT The video does NOT fill the entire screen but only a part of it in the top left corner. EXPECTED RESULT The video should fill the entire screen.
