I have the same issue after the latest system update on KDE Neon. Gwenview
takes forever to start, either from launching it normally or by double clicking
a picture. Version is 19.08.3. Downgrading to 19.08.2 fixed it.
sudo apt-get install gwenview=4:19.08.2-0xneon+18.04+bionic+build37
