SUMMARY
dolphin start up takes 28 seconds if /usr/libexec/kactivitymanagerd is not
running. By default i3 does not care/know about /usr/libexec/kactivitymanagerd.
Even when /usr/libexec/kactivitymanagerd runs, dolphin lacks basic
functionality:
- right click menu on files, does not appear at all (so no 'open with...' or
see properties' options)
- when exiting from within the program, it takes about 45 sec to shut down.
All in all, dolphin should start (fast) and function normaly, even if not run
inside a KDE-Plasma desktop environment. For now on Fedore-KDE-spin, it does
not.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. install Fedora 31 KDE-spin
2. install i3 and run it
3. start dolphin and see the errors listed above

Should work just as it does in the KDE-Plasma Desktop.
