I'm not seeing this with 4.2.7.1 on Linux or Windows.
The only thing I notice is that if the Magnetism is set to the maximum value, I
have to move the cursor about 10 pixels away from the start point before the
line starts to be drawn along the assistant guide line. Opacity variation with
pressure works ok at all zoom levels.
This is with a Wacom Draw tablet.
