It doesn't seem to happen in 4.2.8.
In some cases, with guide in the canvas, selections and select shape tool
visually misbehave. (Check the video and the file attatched) When there's no
guide it works as expected, at least visually.
I'm not sure when exactly it happens. (...for now.)
