Bug ID: 413718 Summary: Impossible to assign global shortcut Meta + 2 Product: frameworks-kglobalaccel Version: unspecified Platform: Neon Packages OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: kdelibs-b...@kde.org Reporter: hugues.gaill...@me.com Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY I tried to configure KDE to switch to desktop #1 with Meta + 1, desktop #2 with Meta + 2 and so on. This worked for the 4 desktops I have, except the 2nd. The Meta + 2 key does nothing even if I can register this combination in the settings. I tried editing kglobalshortcutsrc by hand as I saw in the config file that Meta + 2 (not from the numpad) is assigned as Meta + É (not é). I suspect the french layout I'm using to be the cause of this problem. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Use a generic keyboard. Mine is configured as Generic | Generic 101-key PC (intl.) 2. Set the french standard layout 3. Assign any action in Global Shortcuts to Meta + 2 (mine is in KWin Script but I tried ohters action). Important precision : The combination is Meta + 2 with the "2" NOT coming from the numpad (it's the "é" key on the french keyboard). OBSERVED RESULT The shortcut could be assigned but is not working. EXPECTED RESULT The shortcut Meta + 2 should be working as the others (Meta + 1, Meta + 3... ) SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: KDE Plasma Version: 5.17.2 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.63.0 Qt Version: 5.13.1 Kernel: 5.0.0-32-generic ADDITIONAL INFORMATION kglobalaccel 0.2 -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
