If that doesn't help, you should report this to your distribution, I strongly suspect a packaging error. Since in your report it suggests the package is not made by Black Lab Linux ( but is made by Kubuntu which is built against Kubuntu libraries), a mismatch in the installation of the necessary KDE dependencies is possible.
