           Summary: applications-menu (classic "K-Menu"-style) often
                    closes itself
           Product: plasma-simplemenu
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: Debian stable
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: minor
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
          Assignee: h...@kde.org
          Reporter: odysseu...@mailbox.org
                CC: plasma-b...@kde.org
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
Dear maintainer and developers !

The mini program "applications-menu" (in german "Anwendungsmenu" - the english
name is not available on the german desktop) mostly closes itself when trying
to switch from one sub menu to another with the mouse-pointer. If the user
opens the wrong sub-menu and recognizes, that the desired application is in
another "folder" of the applications-menu, it disappears and he has to reopen
it (by clicking on the starter in the taskbar). This makes it strenuous to use
it. I have my taskbar at the top of the display and the option "open by
mouse-contact and close automatically" is activated. Before 4 months it worked
as expected yet, but then this dysfunction appeared. Do You think it's possible
to fix this ?

If this post belongs to another application/mini-program (although there was no
other suitable option containing the string "menu" at
bugs.kde.org/enter_bug.cgi), please move it to there, don't simply delete it...

Regards
Harry Haller

STEPS TO REPRODUCE

2. open a sub-folder
3. try to move back and open another sub-menu

OBSERVED RESULT

it should remain opened and give one the opportunity to choose another topic in
the applications-menu
