There has been a new development to this old bug. When I was testing Bug
412943, I noticed that Firefox 69 now only does color management properly with
PNG pictures with this option CHECKED. It actually makes sense now that Firefox
is treating the option identically in both JPG and PNG pictures produced by
Krita.
It could also be my previous observation being flawed because of the faulty
color management mentioned in Bug 412943. With my current display setup it's
much easier to spot a wrong result.
Maybe we can now turn the "Embed sRGB profile" option in Save to PNG dialogue
back on.
