            Bug ID: 411753
Summary: KDE Connect spams the desktop with a torrent of old
notifications causing the system to become
                    unresponsive.
           Product: kdeconnect
           Version: 1.3.5
          Platform: Kubuntu Packages
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: major
          Priority: NOR
         Component: common
          Assignee: albertv...@gmail.com
          Reporter: leftcr...@tutanota.com
  Target Milestone: ---

It takes all the unread unread notifications (on Android it could be dozens or
even hundreds, depending on how many apps you have) and dumps them on the
screen all at once, with each notification being a separate popup. There are so
many notifications that the notifications just turn into black rectangles
because the shell can't render them all.

It may be worth it to look into just not showing notifications that are older
than a few minutes minute. If the user wants to see them, maybe there should be
a manual way to bring them up?

Another idea would be to just enable mirroring of calls and sms by default, and
then have the user enable others manually. I think this may be a good idea
regardless, since it will prevent users from getting duplicate email, skype
etc. notifications if they have the app on both phone and pc.

Maybe Plasma notifications have been revamped in the latest release to guard
against this sort of spamming, however this won't fix other desktops where
KDEConnect is used.

Either way, I don't think anyone wants their desktop to be completely
overwhelmed with dozens of notifications like "Tetris was updated"(yesterday)
or "new ways to pay with Samsung"(6 hours ago.
