Update: 8 Sept 2019: Uninstalled Amarok and reinstalled from scratch. Problem
has not recurred. There may have been a problem with the original instillation:
although the Amarok icon appeared in the Applications group, I had to
double-click the icon to start. After reinstallation, Amarok opens with a
single click on the icon.
