I have observed the same behavior in a kpatience/spider game though,
unfortunately, I did not record the number of the game. Also, my platform is
Fedora 30, not Ubuntu, but I assume that does not matter.
Having played Spider on Linux for years, I noticed that a couple of years ago
the solver was considerably improved and its credibility clearly increased.
However, there still are situations in which the solver claims a game cannot be
won when it actually can.
Another annoying solver error is the situation near the end of a game when the
solver says: "Undeterminable whether the game can be won" - and there are two
unturned cards left together with three vacant spaces on the board!
I have a snapshot of such a situation but it probably is not needed.
