I feel like what's needed here is a setting to choose whether to make the
find&replace bar global, or document-specific. When it's document-specific then
its open/closed state should be remembered on a per-document basis, as is
requested here. When it's global, then not only should it stay open or closed
across all documents, but its search history and current search term should be
global as well, rather than per-document.
