What I did since my previous comment:
- moved all files and folders from my desktop to another location. It seemed to
me that sections "itemsOnDisabledScreens=" and "screenMapping=" did not change
(much). Note: the 2nd section was actually a 148,768 characters long line! For
which usage?... I still don't know.
- booted another GNU/Linux distro and emptied above Kubuntu sections so they
looked like:
[ScreenMapping]
itemsOnDisabledScreens=
screenMapping=
- booted Kubuntu again and moved all my files and folders back to the desktop.
2nd section ("screenMapping=") got filled again with a list of files now
present on my desktop (note: no more files from sub-sub-subfolders of my
desktop).
Desktop icons are now under my visual monitoring to see whether they get
scrambled again or not in the coming times...
