The same for me (Version 0.8.1).
Each time I start my session or even if the system was locked for some time,
the messenger stays offline until I right click and select "Online".
I checked "Restore last presence on login" and unchecked "Go offline when
closing the contact list".
Also, for no reason, it is going offline several times a day even while
working. Need to right click -> "Online" every day several times. Network
connection is fine and not interrupted.
