I also tried to change the color scheme directly (back and forth) via [System Settings → Colors], what didn't help either. HOWEVER: A switch to the "Plasma Theme" (System Settings → Workspace Design) "Breeze Dark Flat" seems to be a workaround. I Could toggle between "Breeze Dark" and another scheme earlier, so that the color was correct with "Breeze Dark" also.
