            Bug ID: 408960
Summary: Option to show "max core load"
           Product: kdeplasma-addons
           Version: 5.14.5
          Platform: Other
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: wishlist
          Priority: NOR
         Component: systemloadviewer
          Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org
          Reporter: p...@ralfj.de
  Target Milestone: ---

I have 8 CPU cores, so even when some process goes wild and uses one of my
cores for 100%, the bar in the system load viewer widget barely moves up (to
12.5%, to be more precise). That makes the widget less helpful than it could
be to detect the situation when there is a runaway process somewhere in the
background.

The number of CPU cores we have installed in our systems is only going to grow,
so this problem is only going to get worse.

One way to improve the situation here would be to offer, next to the "total CPU
usage", also the option to show the CPU usage of the most-used core. Then one
could immediately see that *something* is using up a full core.
