I too am affected by this bug and am hoping it will also fix the stutter/pause
for auto-sizing/maximizing windows dragged to the screen edge. The stutter
feels very similar between the alt-tab and window drag/resize pause.
On my optimus system, the Intel video card is affected to a much lesser degree
but is still noticeable, but NVidia with proprietary driver causes a 5 to 15
second system freeze.
I will attempt the patch as outlined below...
