Kdenlive 17.12 is not supported anymore. You have 2 possibilities:
Try with the current Kdenlive AppImage version 19.04.2d to see if there are any
packaging issues https://files.kde.org/kdenlive/release/
or
Windows 19.04.2-3: https://kdenlive.org/en/download/
