Bug ID: 408403 Summary: Discover Search function fails to return search results. Product: Discover Version: 5.8.5 Platform: Debian stable OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: discover Assignee: lei...@leinir.dk Reporter: jensen...@riseup.net CC: aleix...@kde.org Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY When I search for "cash" using Discover, 0 programs are returned from the search. However, when I search for "gnucash", I find gnucash (as one would expect). The search function should be fixed so that the entire name of programs are checked for the search-key STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open Discover. 2. Search for "gnucash". 3. Clear your search bar. 4. Search for "cash". OBSERVED RESULT searching for "gnucash" yields a 1 result (the gnucash program) searching for "cash" yields 0 results. EXPECTED RESULT I expected that searching for "cash" would have returned the gnucash program, and perhaps others. #--------------------------------------- System info: Kernel V 4.9.0.9-amd64 SMP Debian 4.9.168-1+deb9u2 (2019-05-13) KDE Plasma 5.8.6 KDE Framework 5.28.0 Qt 5.7.1 64 bit OS AMD FX-4100 Quad Core 22 GB DDR3 -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
