I was not able to reproduce the behaviour you're describing above, but the new code should probably have fixed any misbehaviours. You should notice that the mouse wheel is context sensitive: it only change volume if inside the streaming window. If you place it on the top of a slide bar, it should be changing it; if you place inside the lateral menu, it will scroll the items there.
