I would like to chime in and add that - at least to me - emblembs would be a
highly appreciated feature. While tags are useful, as Mahendra stated, emblems
would add a quick visual indication which files the user has (currently) deemed
important/in need of work/etc. 

File managers like Nemo or Caja have had this feature for years. The following
link provides some (slightly outdated) screenshots of what it looks like in
Linux Mint's implementation:

I've also attached a (really quick and dirty) mock-up of what it could look
like in Dolphin. The emblems are already available in the Breeze icon set.
