Hi emohr,

thanks for getting back on this. Before I red your suggestion I fiddled around
with the cached files. I just deleted all that I found in 

USERNAME/.local/share/kdenlive 
and in
USERNAME/kdenlive

and now I can play and edit the 18.12.-project in 19.04 with no problem.
