SUMMARY
In kwrite 18.12.3-1 on Manjaro linux, the variable color does not change in the
ui if you change it in editor settings, in the settings accessible from
Menu>Settings>Configure Editor>Fonts & Colors>Default Text Styles>Variable. I
can change the formatting of the variable font (Bold, Italic etc.) but when I
change the variable text color, it shows the chosen color in the preview
rectangle but the color of the variable text stays the same dark blue color
even if you hit apply or choose a new schema. It works properly for any other
types of text. This all happens in a fish shell script file.sudo

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open up kwin, enter Menu>Settings>Configure Editor>Fonts & Colors>Default
Text Styles
2. Change the variable color, click OK and apply.

OBSERVED RESULT
The variable color in the editor UI stays the same.

EXPECTED RESULT
The variable color changes accordingly.
