I can confirm this on gentoo / plasma 5.5.5. I work on a laptop that I connect
to an external monitor in the office. On connecting the external monitor, the
panel occassionally movedsto the external screen. On disconnecting, it
sometimes moves back to the laptop screen. I can't see any pattern in the
behavior, it appears random.
