SUMMARY
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Run plasma desktop normally
OBSERVED RESULT
Frequent (every few minutes) few seconds long episodes of unresponsiveness /
near freeze, during which:
- plasmashell shows high CPU usage (~12% which is about 1/8 i.e. one thread
100% CPU on an 8-core)
- panel is not immediately responsive
- panel doesn't redraw (e.g. the network monitor graph isn't refreshing)
- after the episode ends, events issued during the episode seem to be processed
normally (i.e. if I click a docked application icon on the icon task manager
during the episode, the app gets launched after the episode)
EXPECTED RESULT
Smooth operation of plasmashell.
