Bug ID: 405286 Summary: Selecting ‘Configure Desktop’ when desktop configuration window is minimized has no effect Product: plasmashell Version: master Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: Image Wallpaper Assignee: notm...@gmail.com Reporter: k...@huftis.org CC: plasma-b...@kde.org Target Milestone: 1.0 SUMMARY When you launch the wallpaper settings window (by right-clicking on the desktop and selecting ‘Configure Desktop’), minimise the window (so that it’s hidden) and relaunch it, *nothing* happens. That is, the window remains minimised, its icon on the task bar doesn’t start blinking, and there is no feedback of any kind that your action had an effect. >From the user’s perspective, it looks like the ‘Configure Desktop’ action on the desktop menu is plain broken. This has happened to me several times, I’m always confused (sometimes I open the wallpaper settings, minimise it, and hours later try to open it again, only to find it broken). STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Right-click on desktop and select ‘Configure Desktop’. 2. Minimize the wallpaper config windows that pops up (by clicking the minimize button on the toolbar). 3. Repeat step 1. OBSERVED RESULT Nothing at all happens. EXPECTED RESULT The wallpaper window should be restored/displayed. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS KDE Plasma Version: 5.15.2 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.55.0 Qt Version: 5.12.0 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION I have the focus stealing prevention setting set to ‘Low’ (but setting it to ‘None’ instead have no effect). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
