Hi,

After checking the certificates mentioned in that folder, I could see that the
pem  files were empty:

-rw------- 1      0 Mar  4 16:45 ../kdeconnect/privateKey.pem
-rw------- 1      0 Mar  4 16:45 ../kdeconnect/certificate.pem

removing the directory and restarting kde connect indeed resolved the problem.
