At the time of filing the bug report, I had mostly been working with Dolphin and Kate. Later, I did some work in Writer and encountered it there too, but it slipped my mind that I ought to update the bug report. I'm currently unable to check any further apps, or test your suggestion, as I currently away, and don't have access to my desktop.
