Bug ID: 404708 Summary: plasmashell takes 8.4GB RAM using theme Nowardev Product: plasmashell Version: 5.15.1 Platform: Archlinux Packages OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: k...@davidedmundson.co.uk Reporter: piotr.mierzwin...@gmail.com CC: plasma-b...@kde.org Target Milestone: 1.0 SUMMARY Nowardev isn't new theme date modification it's folder (in my system) points to 2016 year. In my opinion looks very pretty, so I tried to use it. Therefore I pressed Apply in System Settings -> Workspace theme -> Plasma Theme for this theme and unfortunately the usage of RAM radically jumped to 8.4GB. I attach screenshot from System Activity and add package with Nowardev theme. I'm not sure if this is bug in plasmashell or some svgz, css, or colors file or entry in "settings" file makes that plasmashell so radically increase usage of RAM. I think worth to note that I have installed addon like kvantum (ver.0.10.9) with activated default theme. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Install kvantum (just in case, I'm not sure if it is related) 2. Add Nowardev to Plasma Themes (I attached archive) 3. Apply Nowardev in your plasma session OBSERVED RESULT Huge increasing memory usage (8.4GB) EXPECTED RESULT Memory usage like for other themes, for example in case of Diamond, plasmashell takes for me only 132MB. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: 5.15.1 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.55 Qt Version: 5.12.1 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Up-to-date Antergos -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
