Bug ID: 404585 Summary: After turning off my screen, Kodi's window will be moved to the current v-desktop Product: kwin Version: 5.15.0 Platform: Archlinux Packages OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: minor Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: kwin-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: john.etted...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- Hello, SUMMARY I am not sure if this belongs here or on Kodi's site, so I apologize if this is the wrong place. The bug is simple, when I turn off my screen and leave my computer alone for a while, when I come back to it Kodi will now be the current app on the current virtual desktop whereas I usually open it on my 4th virtual desktop and expect it to stay there. I don't use dpms, screen saver or anything like that and this happens on the X11 backend, no idea about Wayland but I can test it if needed. It's possible it has nothing to do with turning off my screen, I'll try to leave my screen on next time to see if that changes anything or not. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open Kodi on a virtual desktop 2. Switch to another virtual desktop 3. Turn off the monitor and leave the computer for a while 4. Come back later and reactivate the screen and move the mouse. OBSERVED RESULT Kodi is now the active app on the last used virtual desktop EXPECTED RESULT The last used app should still be current and Kodi should still be on the virtual desktop it was placed on. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux: Arch Linux, testing repository, Linux 4.20.10, Xorg 1.20.3 KDE Plasma Version: 5.15 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.55 Qt Version: 5.12.1 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION I am using an AMD 580X with the mesa driver from git master. Kodi is the only app that behaves like that, and it's been the case for maybe a couple months. I'm happy to add any information needed.
