I just tried this myself on Muon 5.4.2 I allowed the Authentication popup to
sit awaiting my password for 30 seconds, and it all worked.
Recently changes took place to Muon - splitting out Discover, and others.
Leaving just Muon ( aka Muon Package Manager )
Is your bug talking about the same thing ?
We welcome bug reports, and it would really help us lots if you could provide
more detail when reporting
