Whoaaaaa! Now that is crazy! Thankfully there is a very good chance this is
fixed in Spectacle 19.04.0, where the rectangular region mode has been
completely rewritten for greater reliability. Can you please re-open this if
you still experience it in 19.04.0, either by waiting until it's released,
using Neon dev unstable edition, or building it from source?
