(I created a this new bugreport according to Christoph Feck)
Short summary:
Using an older nvidia graphics driver 390.87 as primary/only card and switching
to virtual (text) terminals and back to gui crashes kwin (see attachment)
This might be a problem related to compositing effects, because switching them
off first and then returning from text to gui seems fine.
