It should be fixed in version 18.12.1. And even audio capture should work.
Please try with the current Kdenlive AppImage version 18.12.1b

Run the Appimage from the terminal (press CTRL + ALT + T). Move to the AppImage
folder and run the .AppImage: ./Kdenlive*.AppImage
