--- Comment #4 from rigred <rigo.red...@gmail.com> ---
I can no longer reproduce the behaviour with the latest 6.0.0-3 appimage build
nor the latest 5.9.0 build in arch neither on my laptop nor on my desktop.

I suspect that it is possible that the problem was caused by a KDE / Qt library
issue in the past.

So I would say mark this as resolved.

However on the 6.0.0-3 Beta build if I do open the PTP import window and close
it I managed to get the following response on the first run when attempting to
close the import window (it froze):

unknown: UdevQt: unhandled device action "unbind"
unknown: UdevQt: unhandled device action "unbind"
unknown: UdevQt: unhandled device action "bind"
unknown: UdevQt: unhandled device action "bind"

Digikam::DigikamApp::checkSolidCamera: Solid returns unsupported driver handle
for gphoto2
Digikam::DigikamApp::slotSolidDeviceChanged: slotSolidDeviceChanged:
"/org/freedesktop/UPower/devices/ups_hiddev5"
Digikam::DigikamApp::checkSolidCamera: checkSolidCamera: Found Camera  " "
protocols  ("ptp")  drivers  ("gphoto")

~ flooding the console over an over ~

Not sure why it's looking at my UPS.

Though I'm delighted to say that on both the beta build and 5.9 the camera is
detected as "USB PTP Class Camera" though I wish it was reported with it's
proper name.
I had been using the SD Card directly for a while now.

Let me know if there is any info I need to provide in regards to changing the
reported camera name (Is that possible or needs to be done with
gphoto/elsewhere instead?) , I've posted the basic lsusb/mtp info here:
