I tried and it works on Windows.

Try to delete either:
~/.config/kdenliverc : contains the general settings of the application
or
~/.local/share/kxmlgui5/kdenlive/kdenliveui.rc : contains the toolbar
configuration
I assume you have a mixture of old Kdenlive installation.
