(The version I'll be on until I can find time to upgrade off Kubuntu 14.04 LTS in early 2019) The attached image details how to quickly and reliably reproduce the problem, but the gist of it is that, if I try to have Media Screen Saver play a sequence of video files (eg. audio-less drone footage) that get handled by the KMPlayer KPart, it'll just play one video then get stuck on a blank screen.
