            Bug ID: 400740
Summary: "Clip in Project Bin" does nothing if clip is already
                    selected
           Product: kdenlive
           Version: 18.04.3
          Platform: Other
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: User Interface
          Assignee: j...@kdenlive.org
          Reporter: kde-b...@adamspiers.org
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY

If a clip is selected in the Project Bin but not currently visible (e.g. if
it's scrolled off-window, or in a collapsed folder), when I right-click on that
clip in the timeline and select "Clip in Project Bin", that clip will remain
invisible.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE

1. Open a project with a) more clips than can fit visibly within the Project
Bin window, and/or b) at least one folder which contains a clip.
2. Pick a clip and ensure it's on the timeline.
3. Select that clip in the Project Bin.
4. Either scroll the project bin vertically so that clip is no longer visible,
or collapse the folder containing that clip.
5. Right-click on the clip in the timeline.
6. Select "Clip in Project Bin".

OBSERVED RESULT

The Project Bin view does not change, and the clip remains invisible.

EXPECTED RESULT

The containing folder(s) of the clip automatically open if necessary, and the
clip is scrolled into view if necessary.

SOFTWARE VERSIONS

kdenlive version: 18.04.3
KDE Plasma version: 5.12.5
Qt version: 5.9.4

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

A workaround is to first either:

a) right-click on a different clip in the timeline (which is *not* currently
selected in the Project Bin), and select "Clip in Project Bin", or
b) just select a different clip in the Project Bin

and then repeat the operation on the clip you actually wanted to view.
